- Discovery & Scope Definition: We’ll schedule a call to discuss your vision, style preferences, and the specific complexity of your design. We’ll clarify the number and type of illustrations required (e.g., full quilt illustration, individual block diagrams, step-by-step assembly).
- Initial Illustration Draft: Based on our detailed discussion, we create a comprehensive illustration draft of your primary quilt design. This forms the foundation for all subsequent detail drawings.
- Review & Refinement Cycle: We present the initial draft for your review. This stage includes one round of revisions to ensure the illustration accurately reflects your design and meets your expectations. Additional revisions beyond this scope will be quoted separately.
- Detail Illustration Development: Once the main illustration is approved, we proceed with creating any necessary supporting detail drawings (e.g., piecing order, fabric grain direction, specific points to match) using the approved master illustration as our guide.
- Final Delivery: Upon your final approval, you receive high-resolution, print-ready illustration files in your preferred format.

Initial Design Illustration (Full Quilt): Projects typically start at $125 for the foundational, comprehensive illustration of your entire quilt design. This base fee may be adjusted for exceptionally complex designs.
Detail & Step-by-Step Illustrations: Subsequent, individual detail illustrations (e.g., single block diagrams, specific step-by-step instructions) generally range from $25 to $50 per illustration, depending on their complexity and the level of detail required.
We are committed to transparency. After our Discovery call (Step 2), you will receive a clear, detailed, and firm quote for your project before any work begins.

Service 2: Professional Page Layouts – Elevate Your Pattern’s Presentation

- Vision & Brand Alignment: We begin with a discussion of your desired aesthetic, brand identity (logo, colors, fonts), and the overall feel you envision for your pattern. If you need a logo, we can create a simple text-based logo at no additional cost, or offer custom logo design for an additional fee.
- Content Submission: You provide all necessary written content: well-written, step-by-step instructions tailored to your target audience, fabric requirements, cutting instructions, and any additional helpful tips. You also submit your approved technical illustrations and finished quilt images.
- Initial Layout & Template Development: We create an initial layout design, incorporating your branding elements and content. This also includes the development of a custom, reusable template tailored to your unique style.
- Review & Refinement Cycle: We present the initial layout for your review. This stage includes one round of revisions to ensure the design, flow, and functionality meet your expectations. Additional revisions beyond this scope will be quoted separately.
- Final Delivery: Upon your final approval, you receive print-ready and digital-ready pattern files in your required format (e.g., PDF).

Subsequent Patterns (Using Custom Template): Once your custom template is established, designing additional patterns using that template becomes significantly more cost-effective, with pricing typically starting at $150 per pattern.
As with illustrations, we will provide a detailed and firm quote for your specific page layout project after our initial discussion.
